About Cruising Ducks Plus
We're the Vinsons — a family of cruise lovers who discovered the magic of cruising ducks on one of our first vacations together. What started as our kids spotting a little rubber duck tucked behind a stairwell railing turned into a full-blown family obsession. By the end of that trip, we were hiding ducks everywhere — in elevators, on pool chairs, tucked into potted plants — and racing each other to find ones that other passengers had left behind.
After a few cruises, we started wondering: what if the fun didn't have to end when you walked off the ship? What if every duck had a story you could follow — where it's been, who found it, how far it traveled?
That's how Cruising Ducks Plus was born. We built a game around the tradition we already loved. Every duck we sell comes with a unique QR code that connects it to a digital twin in our web app. Hide it on a ship, and when someone finds it and scans the tag, your duck earns XP, levels up, and keeps its adventure going long after you're back home.
We're still a family that gets unreasonably excited about cruise planning, duck hiding strategies, and debating the best spots on a ship (the atrium, always the atrium). We built Cruising Ducks Plus because we wanted other families to have as much fun as we do — and maybe a little friendly competition along the way.
